Kurt has been involved with promotional products for more than 40 years, a natural spinoff from his childhood days of working for a family newspaper. K & K Advertising was formed in 1982 between Kurt and his Dad, a lifelong printer who served in the U.S. Navy before returning to Wisconsin to work for and then purchase a weekly newspaper and printing shop.
Kurt was an editor and publisher in the newspaper industry for 46 years and now turns his full attention to promotional products. His award-winning writing and advertising design is the basis of a life-long journey of learning what makes productive advertising and promotion. A product of the information age, Kurt has spent an entire career studying clear and effective communication, a key component of any marketing strategy.
Alice, his wife of 47 years, has provided customer service and management in various work environments for more than four decades. She has worked in the following fields: national and international sales, real estate and insurance, pharmaceutical technician, food and beverage management, and owned a retail business for 8 years. These experiences have given her expertise in communications, sales and customer service.
Kurt and Alice have carried the company tradition forward the past 30 years.
